Rachel is an Associate at Innosight, where she assists companies with their growth strategy development through innovation. She is especially interested in clients in the industrial and technology sectors, and has a background in engineering and energy. She previously worked as a technical expert for moorings and risers in the Chevron Energy Technology Company and then as the Projects Engineering Manager for a floating semi-submersible oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
Rachel received her BS (2010) and MS (2011) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she studied Mechanical and Ocean Engineering with a Minor in Literature. For her MS she combined data analysis of in-field oil pipelines with data from a cross-industry study to push for more rigorous design-stage analysis of fatigue in offshore oil pipelines. She also received an MBA from Harvard Business School (2017) where she focused on business development of new technologies and the place of business in society.
