Andrei is a managing director at Innosight, Huron’s strategy and innovation business. He was a co-founder of Wilson Perumal & Company, acquired by Huron in 2025. Andrei is an expert on how complexity impacts cost, growth, and risk—and therefore strategy and operations—in companies and organizations. He is co-author of two books, Waging War on Complexity Costs and Growth in the Age of Complexity and is a regular speaker on complexity.

Andrei serves both industry and government clients. Andrei led the development of many of WP&C’s innovative methodologies, including WP&C’s complexity costing (Square Root Costing) and High-Reliability Organization (HRO) tools and methodologies, and drove WP&C’s entry into and growth in both the energy and government sectors.

Andrei began his consulting career at Bain & Company. He then served as head of the Strategic Operations Group at Beal Bank (the most profitable bank in the U.S.), as a Principal and leadership team member of George Group Consulting, and as a Partner with Accenture, after Accenture’s acquisition of George Group.

In addition to his business strategy and operations experience, Andrei has held chemical, nuclear, and aerospace engineering roles. He served in the U.S. Nuclear Navy, managed a rocket propellant plant, and developed novel analysis that averted a major and potentially very costly Space Shuttle launch delay. Andrei holds an Aeronautical Engineering degree from MIT and was a certified nuclear engineer with the U.S. Department of Energy.
