Prior to joining Innosight, Laura worked in a number of different roles across health care and education, gaining experience in research, strategic planning, and entrepreneurship. Within education, Laura taught eighth grade math with Teach For America (TFA), where she established classroom expectations, culture, and systems that led 90% of her Algebra I students (compared to 39% district wide) to pass their high-stakes assessment. Before entering the classroom, Laura served as the “right hand” to the Head of School of award-winning E.L. Haynes Public Charter School, where she led strategic planning for a number of initiatives, including a new 400-student high school, an innovative student performance management technology platform, and an alternative teacher training program.
Within health care, Laura advised hospitals on service line growth strategy and technology investments at The Advisory Board Company and managed a national study of pediatric bipolar disorder as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. During business school, Laura interned at Deloitte, where she collaborated with a multinational life sciences firm to create a Human Resources (HR) integration playbook, based on lessons learned from their recent $20B acquisition, to guide their human capital strategies in future mergers.
Laura received her BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her MBA from the Yale School of Management.
