Prior to joining Innosight, he spent two years working for the technology staffing platform Toptal, where he helped financial consultants write long-form thought leadership based on their consulting experiences. Prior to that, he worked as a journalist at Bloomberg News, Thomson Financial, Crain’s New York Business and the Bangor Daily News, covering news beats, editing and managing teams of reporters, and writing feature articles for news wires and magazines.
Michael studied economics and history at the University of Maine and the University of New Brunswick and after graduate school briefly worked as an economic research analyst.
Michael was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, where he lived until he moved to the US for graduate school. He’s an avid athlete. He lives in Boston with his wife, two kids and dog. He loves reading, the Sunday New York Times Crossword puzzle, talking about US and global politics, trying to stay on top of recent trends in technology and business, and trying to learn new licks on his guitars.
