Drawn to People and Possibility

I’ve always been curious about why people think the way they do and what shapes their choices. I was first elected as class president in middle school and stayed involved in class leadership through college, leading student government and philanthropy efforts. I cared about bringing people together and creating a shared sense of purpose. This ethic has carried into my role at Innosight, where I enjoy working to make others feel seen and supported.

From the Science Lab to Consulting

I started college majoring in biology, researching fossil records and studying ecosystem science at Berkeley. I loved the systems thinking behind the science, but working alone in a lab didn’t energize me. During the pandemic, I realized that I craved more collaboration. That reflection led me to organizational strategy work. I wanted to help organizations think more clearly and move with purpose. That’s what brought me to Innosight.

Finding Innosight and a New Way to Lead

While I was at WashU, I got interested in strategy consulting because it combined teamwork with projects that had real impact. When I connected with Innosight, it felt like a perfect fit. The work focused on organizational transformation, the people listened deeply to my story, and I saw a chance to lead by helping others feel grounded and understood. Today, I help shape our culture through my roles in our DEI subcommittee, social steering committee, and cohort group. I want everyone at Innosight to feel a sense of belonging, just as I do.

Building Futures with Clients

One of my most exciting projects involved helping a medtech client define its long-term ambitions. We used a future-back approach to create a bold vision and explore the steps necessary to realize it. My favorite part was getting to know the people behind the strategy, their goals, hesitations, and hopes. Everyone has a unique perspective and the capacity to teach new things to others. Whether I am meeting with a colleague or a client, new or familiar, the human dimension of my projects always makes the work meaningful.

Leadership, Reimagined

I used to think of leadership as “stepping up.” Now, I think of it as “making space.” At Innosight, I’ve learned to lead by listening and create the conditions for others to thrive. Whether I’m in a client room or guiding a new colleague, I do my best to consistently show up with intention. I believe the most effective leadership starts with empathy and grows through trust.

Plot Twists and Playlists

Beyond my work at Innosight, I am a fan of strategy-forward reality television like Survivor and The Amazing Race. I love to analyze and learn from the decisions contestants in the shows make and their rationale, whether good or bad. There is always a fresh storyline and unique outcome! I am also a music fan – I saw Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour four times – and follow Cal football, which, sadly, is much less exciting. Last, I love spending time outside with my Bernedoodle, Archie.
