Krystin Stafford, Associate
Meet Krystin
Krystin is an Associate at Innosight. She has worked primarily with Fortune 500 companies in the consumer packaged goods industry, helping clients develop innovative offerings. Most recently, she has worked with a major brand to grow their business through new product development. The foundation of this work has been identifying jobs-to-be-done and using them to recognize and prioritize opportunity areas to direct innovation efforts.
Prior to joining Innosight, Krystin helped Fortune 500 companies design new products from a technical perspective. These experiences included user-oriented research, collaborative product design, and mechanical design and prototyping. One of her more memorable experiences involved independently learning a new computer-aided drafting program with which to design parts to be manufactured in Asia less than a week later.
Krystin received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, where she was a member of the Inaugural Class. Krystin also received an M.S. in Management (Concentration in Technological Entrepreneurship) cum laude from Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
Most Memorable Innosight Moment
Within a week of being hired, I received an e-mail from one of the Partners entitled "Garrrrrrrrrrrrr! Ye best respond fast!" Very curious, I opened the e-mail and found an invitation to a company-wide event to go sailing on a tall ship in Boston Harbor. That e-mail and subsequent follow-up e-mails included significant pirate jargon. The day of the event came and there was the Partner who had issued the invitation—in full pirate attire. It reinforced for me (as a new hire) the culture of the office. Needless to say, I had a great time at the event—it was a great afternoon on the Harbor—and I have photos with which to remember the occasion.
