Do you use your 1965 TV?

Luke Langford

I don't really have time for a long, or thoughtful post right now, but I came across something that just had to find its way to the blog.

It isn't an example of a disruptive innovation. In fact, it is rather the opposite. Plasma televisions suffered early on from short lifetimes, as displays rather quickly faded. Manufacturers, including Panasonic, have been pushing their displays up the sustraining track for a while now, trying to improve display lifetime.

Based on this article in TG Daily, I think someone needs to tell them to stop. Enough is enough already! Forty-two years is surely overshooting most of the market.
