Cathy Olofson

Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Cathy leads Innosight’s content and thought leadership development, digital marketing strategy, public relations, and branding and marketing communications.

Before joining Innosight in 2010, Cathy was Communications Director for nearly a decade at Harvard Business Review. In this role, Cathy led brand communications, media relations, and strategic messaging and communications for the magazine’s relaunch in 2010. Previous to HBR, she was a public relations and marketing consultant as well as freelance writer and regular contributor to Fast Company magazine. Before that, she held various editorial and producer roles at The American Prospect, Houghton Mifflin Interactive, and Vertigo Interactive and was a case writer at Harvard Business School. She started her career as a manuscript editor at Harvard Business Review.

She has spoken at various industry conferences, including the Folio Show, and helped lead the Public Relations Society of America’s Technology Committee in 2006. She holds a BA in political science from Indiana University.
